Deepak Tijori is in news these days for his upcoming film ‘Tipsy’. As a director, this is his eighth film. Deepak entered the world of direction in 2003 with the film ‘Oops’. In the last 20 years he has directed numerous films. However, neither film performed well at the box office.

During a special conversation with Dainik Bhaskar, Deepak said that he had high expectations from his previous films but was very sad about the films failure at the box office. However, he will continue with his efforts. During the interview, Deepak shared many interesting things related to his professional life. Read some highlights from the conversation:

The situation is not appropriate, the public does not go to the theater.

Whenever my film is released I have the feeling of having a new child, although this time the nervousness is a little greater. The situation is not appropriate. The public has not gone to the theater for a long time. Despite big budgets and top-notch actors, the films are not shown in theaters. In the 90s, our films sometimes celebrated silver weddings and other times celebrated golden weddings. Movies used to run in theaters for 25 to 50 weeks. Now, even if it lasts a week, it is a big problem for the producer.

The good thing is that current producers sell some rights in advance. Taking into account the music rights, the OTT platform rights, they earn 60 to 70 percent before the release of the film. In general, the risk margin for the producer has been slightly reduced. Our film is very small. But the content is pretty good. We have worked very hard. I hope the audience will appreciate our hard work and go to the cinema to watch the film.

The content of the movie ‘Do Lafzon Ki Kahani’ was very good.

In my opinion, I had made many good films, but unfortunately they didn’t work. As a director, the content of my previous film ‘Do Lafzon Ki Kahani’ was very good. But it was not successful at the box office. He had previously done ‘Fox’ with Sunny Deol and Arjun Rampal. That movie also flopped. Obviously there will be disappointment. But I didn’t give up. I will continue my efforts.

Amitabh Bachchan had also directed many unsuccessful films.

I consider Amitabh Bachchan Sahab as my inspiration. He had said one thing about actors: “Actors should never compare their work with successes or failures.” If you look back at your work after years, you shouldn’t regret it. I follow his words.

Amitabh Bachchan gave 100% in everything he did. Despite this, how many unsuccessful films did he give in the beginning? His films continually failed. Then they became a success. When so many films from such a huge giant can fail, what are we then? I am following his path.

There are groups in the film industry.

Nowadays there is a lot of talk about groups in the industry. It is said that Karan Johar has his own group of his, while Yash Raj has his. They only give work to the members of their group. But the truth is that in our times there were also groups. There used to be a small group. This trend has continued since the black and white era.

I have heard that already at that time the actors asked who would be their co-actor? If an actor didn’t get along with someone he would say no. That’s why each production company had its own favorite team. They would mostly choose him so that the filming of the film could be completed smoothly. I don’t see anything wrong with this.
